We are now in the age of the Anthropocene, where human's actions have a huge impact on the Earth’s ecosystem. From governments to consumers, we are becoming more careful with our actions, and think of better sustainable ways to protect our environment whilst still maintaining our way of living? Today, however, choosing a more sustainable option is a more expensive and sophisticated approach, so then it is often too easily neglected or forgotten. Therefore, Local Composites Project would like to invite Chiang-mai designers to look closer to their local area, scan existing situations and experiment to create one new local composite material from scratch to the end of their lives. The composite materials that are easy, cheap, sustained, locally sourced and able to decompose. Finally, We hope this project will act as an open source of knowledge that is shared.
